About

My name is Marc and I’ve been an avid reader of food blogs for years. I’ve collected tons of favorite recipes from more places than I can remember but above all my favorites have been the one pot meals in both the slow cooker and the pressure cooker.

After a lot of prodding from my wife of ten years I’ve finally decided to make a food blog of my own… but with a twist. Instead of regurgitating recipes that I’ve gathered from other people I wanted to use this site as a means to teach various cooking techniques as well as the use of pressure cookers.

I’ve found over the years that even stay-at-home chefs, those well seasoned cooks that don’t get paid to do it, frequently know almost noting about cooking under pressure.

Here’s an example of the type of educational article I’m talking about: Can Instant Pot be Used for Canning?

As I discuss cooking with some of my foodie friends and with my family I’m constantly amazed at how many questions arise when I start talking about the pressure cooker. Everyone seems to understand the slow cooker alright but there’s just something about the pressure cooker that scares and befuddles the masses.

Will this be a fun blog to read? I hope so but I hope that even more you will find this site to be a resource of information that will make you understand cooking at a different level. It will also be a great place for me to direct people to when they ask me a question about how I cooked that meal anyway? 🙂
